Samsung Plans Management Shake-Up

Following the heart attack suffered by the company’s current chairman Lee Kun-hee and is being hospitalized, the company plans to cement Lee Jae-yong as the new company head.

Lee Jae-Yong, a son of Lee Kun-hee is expected to take over as the new head.

The management shake-up is expected to be announced next week. This could also see the replacement of Shin Jong-Kyun, head of the group’s mobile version.

Samsung Electronics reported its weakest quarterly earnings in three years.
